Sometimes I wished I had created a different domain name. Instead of ulearn.tech, I wished I had made a web URL as ilearn.design! The only reason I didn’t do that at that time was:
- There was a company in BC, Canada, that was already called ilearn.ca. It has now changed to a different domain name.
- I found this great deal where I could purchase a 10-year .tech domain name, which would only cost me less than $4 a year. That’s right, four bucks in 2018! I think that was in Canadian funds to boot too!
A website called Stack Social is where I got the deal. And yes, most hosting companies will have the option for a unique domain name as .tech, but it may come at a higher cost.
I bought the domain name and then transferred the domain name to the hosting company when creating my blog. It was quite an easy set-up.
As of today, a similar deal is back. It isn’t at $39.99 (sorry, inflation!), but it’s $79.99 for ten years. Go for the longer term for a better discount! And get an additional 10% off if you click on the 10% off button. So, now, the deal is $72 for ten years! Even better.
