How to Share Your Work in Adobe XD

Sharing Adobe XD Files

In the past, if you want to show a client or a colleague, you would either have to bring your laptop over to them or get them to come over to your desk. Thank god for technology. In Adobe XD, at any stage of creating your wireframes, mockups and prototypes, you can share anytime for collaboration, feedback and even approval.

On the top-left-hand of the page are Design, Prototype and Share. Click on Share. At this stage, you can’t make any changes. On the right-hand side is where you can set up the permissions and settings to share:

Here you will see

  1. Design Review
  2. Development
  3. Presentation
  4. User Testing
  5. Custom Experience

Design review is fantastic for gathering feedback on your work. Development is super in helping you get the specs of the work. Presentation is a stage that optimizes your work for presentation. User Testing is helpful when testing users who are going through it for user experience.

The head icon allows you to change the settings from view to share. And anyone with the link permission, either is by invite or anybody with the link. Select what you want, then either for permissions, anyone with the hyperlink can see and make edits to the file. Or invite the select few who (would need to have an account).

When you do change the set the view setting, you will need to update the link. Adobe XD It does make it easy to get feedback on your designs in a real-time environment, which helps you streamline your design review process. On top of this, the ability to gather feedback in one location helps expedite your design workflows too.
