The Evolution of a New General Motors Logo

Posted January 27, 2021January 27, 2021 mchow
General Motors 2021 New Corporate Logo

General Motors changed its corporate logo as it launches a new marketing strategy focused on all-electric vehicles. Detroit automaker has changed the corporate logo only five times since it began in 1908!

The new GM logo features a colour gradient of vibrant blue tones. Evoking the clean skies of a zero-emissions future and the Ultium platform’s energy. The rounded edges and lower-case font create a more modern, inclusive feel. The underline of the “m” connects to the previous GM logos and visually represents the Ultium platform. Now, do you noticed anything cool about the new logo?

If you look at the logo on the side, you will notice the ‘m,’ with the underline, it becomes an ‘e’ for electric, and the bar is like a plug-in for electric vehicles!
